We used to own a bunch of chickens when I was a kid, and I always thought it was great how their heads stayed in the same place when you move the bodies around.  Seems as though I wasn’t the only person in the world to be entertained by that.

Single cell amoeba join together to take a walk.

Another neat amoeba story.  An amoeba species that sits around being all single-celled and all, eating and having fun.  But when food gets scarce, they all join together and walk somewhere else.

Check out the white balls that are leaving trails.  Those are grape-sized single-celled protists (i.e. without cell nuclei) that are rolling along there.
